I spent over 20 years in the collision repair industry, starting on the shop floor and working my way up to co-owning a multimillion-dollar, multi-location business. I’ve led teams, built strong workplace cultures, and experienced firsthand how addiction can impact lives, families, and the future of entire organizations. I’ve lived those consequences, and I’ve come through the other side.
In 2022, my own struggle with alcohol came to a breaking point. I chose recovery, and that decision gave me not just a second chance, but a new purpose. From the beginning, I’ve been drawn to helping young people. I know how important it is to reach students before addiction becomes part of their story, to show them they have a choice and the power to make it.
Today, I speak to middle school, high school, and college students, sharing my story with honesty and heart. I cover addiction, identity, peer pressure, and the power of decision-making — the kinds of conversations students don’t always hear in school, but desperately need.
I also speak to and work with organizations and companies, particularly in the trades and blue-collar industries, where addiction and mental health challenges are often overlooked. My experience in both leadership and recovery allows me to help teams face these issues head-on with tools that create real change.
Before my business career, I was a Division I athlete and high school football coach. The discipline and leadership I learned through sports now shape the way I speak and the way I help others lead themselves.
I recently finished authoring my first book on addiction and recovery, which will be available to purchase soon. I’m also completing my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Oregon State University and expect to graduate in early 2026.
I live in Oregon with my wife and daughter, and I’m guided by faith, integrity, and the belief that it’s never too early to help a young person make a better choice, and never too late to rewrite your own story.
